An Introduction to Contemporary Islamic Philosophy (مقدمه ای بر فلسفه اسلامی معاصر), Qom, Imam Khomeini Educational and Research Institute, 2010.

As the title suggests, this book explores the status of contemporary Islamic philosophy and the views of Islamic philosophers in modern-day Iran. It is the first work to examine the philosophical thought of twelve of the most prominent contemporary Muslim philosophers. These figures include: Imam Khomeini, Allama Sayyid Muhammad Husayn Tabatabaei, Martyr Murtada Mutahhari, Mahdi Ha’iri Yazdi, Sayyid Jalal al-Din Ashtiyani, Hasan Hassanzadeh Amuli, ‘Abdollah Jawadi Amuli, Muhammad Taqi Jafari, Martyr Sayyid Muhammad Baqir al-Sadr, Muhammad Taqi Misbah Yazdi, Sayyid Hossein Nasr, and Sayyid Ahmad Fardid. The first edition of the book was published in 2010. It has since been translated into English and published.

Following its publication and due to the significance of contemporary Islamic philosophy, the author proposed a two-credit course under this title for the MA philosophy program at the Imam Khomeini Educational and Research Institute, which was approved. The book is now used as the core text for that course. Additionally, a PhD concentration titled “Contemporary Islamic Philosophy” was also defined, approved, and is currently being implemented at the institute.
